Metal shelving units were installed to the ceiling in order to use more of the wall space. Wicker baskets hold extra light bulbs, toilet paper, spa chemicals and extension cords.
Wire baskets hold swimsuits, cleaning rags and a collection of socks to be matched once a week. There is a rolling laundry sorter and rod for hanging items when they come out of the dryer.
To keep the laundry room fresh and clean looking, light fresh colors were used, which also makes a small area look larger.
Custom curtains and matching accessories were purchased to hold laundry powder and dryer sheets. Keeping the powder and dryer sheets out keeps the room always smelling clean and fresh.
In this closet, the original shelving is kept, but additional metal shelving was used to make use of the additional space.
Adding metal shelving at the top allowed for storing items such as Play Dough, paints and other toys out of reach from younger children so as not to have a mess.
Shelving on the bottom allows for reachable toys. There are also plastic bins and drawers that hold smaller toys and hooks on the left hold backpacks.
Organizing your garage is a snap with Elfa Shelving from the Container Store. This client needed space for camping supplies. Containers are clearly marked so that they can see what is in each container.
The shelf to the left is additional storage for non-perishable foods. The client likes to stock up on grocery items when they are on sale. Space was limited on the inside pantry.
